It's time to say goodbye

Hi everyone. The term is about to end. It means that it is time to write my final post.

Taken from here.

As I have mentioned before, this blog is for one of my courses that is called Instructional Technology and Material Design. At the beginning of the term, I remember that I felt a little bit concerned when our instructor said that we had to be responsible for a blog. While I was writing my first posts, I had the worry whether I could do or not. Now, I get used to blogging. I enjoy writing posts and I feel self-confident. When I share a post and see the final version of my task, I am proud of myself.

At the beginning of the term, one of the tasks was writing our own teaching with technology philosophy statement (if you didn’t read my post, click here). I’d written about my thoughts, being a 21st century teacher and the importance of using technology in English lessons. My thoughts haven’t changed in general. As long as I wrote posts and completed tasks, I realized that I improved myself. I feel more experienced to use technology on the purpose of language education.

I think Instructional Technology and Material Design is a course that gives students an opportunity to improve themselves. Our instructor  explained the task and showed us a way to complete the task properly. She offered us options for nearly every task. We chose the one that appealed to us. We chose the option, we chose the tool, we chose the ways to perform ourself in the best way. I think it is the best part of this course. I researched a lot, I read a lot, I tried a lot to achieve the best.

Generally, I liked the course. Although I was supposed to write one or two posts every week, this was not a stressful thing. Even though I had difficulty in tasks, I always thought that all of these tasks were the steps of my teaching career. Now, I am very excited to perform the things that I learned.

Taken from here.

During this process, I was in touch with my friends. Every time we struggled with tasks, we helped each other. We completed group works sometimes.

I would like to thank to our instructor Dr. Kurt. Her attitude towards teaching influenced my view of technology-enhanged language teaching and learning.

That’s my final post. It’s time to say goodbye. This was a journey for me. This blog has a huge impact on my improvement. I really hope that you like my blog. Thank you so much.
Love, Rana.
